The District-Wide Grant
Previously called the All School Large Grant, the Foundation typically awards this grant to fund large-scale initiatives across Arlington Heights School District 25.
The grant is shared equally among the seven elementary schools and two middle schools that make up District 25.
These funds have been used to purchase items such as:
- Fork Farm: Indoor Vertical Hydroponic Units
- Classroom sets of technology devices (i.e., iPods, iPads, and Chromebooks)
- Workout facilities in each middle school
- Kindergarten playgrounds
- School library check-out systems
- Stage and common area sound systems
- Elementary school climbing walls
- Outdoor collaborative student learning spaces
- Mobile Maker Spaces to develop S.T.E.A.M. skills (Science and Technology interpreted through Engineering & the Arts, all based in mathematical elements.)
