Grant Types
Over the past 30+ years, the ABC/25 Foundation has raised and contributed close to two million dollars to fund numerous projects and grants for District 25 students and teachers/staff. We do this in three main ways.
The Membership Incentive Grant
Each year, the ABC/25 Foundation awards $2,500 to all District 25
schools when 25% of the school’s families become members.
One membership is counted towards
all district schools children in one
family attend.
This grant may be used at the school’s discretion to benefit the whole school.
Karen Wessel-Barr Traditional Teacher Grants
In the fall of every school year,
teachers and district staff submit
grant applications to help fund a
variety of creative and innovative programs that would not be possible under current district budgets.
The applications are reviewed and awarded during the first school semester through blind voting by the Grant Selection Committee, made up
of a parent volunteer from each school.
The District-Wide Grant
Previously called the All School Large Grant, the Foundation typically awards this grant to fund large-scale initiatives across Arlington Heights School District 25.
The grant is shared equally among the seven elementary and two middle schools.
The 2023-2024 District-Wide grant was “Growing Together: A Fork Farm Initiative!”
